Q. How does the Cable TV cable connect to my computer?

A. The coaxial cable from the Orbitel network connects to a cable modem. That modem then connects to your PC or home PC network through a network interface card or USB port on your computer. Your Orbitel Installer will make all the necessary connections.

A. Sure. Your subscription to Orbitel High Speed Internet gives you high speed connectivity to the internet. We act as an internet provider. You don’t need anything else in order to use all the features available on the internet. But if you enjoy services offered by companies like AOL you can continue to subscribe to them and access their services. AOL offers a discounted service if you provide your own access. If you are an AOL customer contact AOL and tell them you have High Speed Internet access from your cable company and that you want to know about their reduced price packages. A. Email has become a very popular means to send and receive information between friends and family. Your Orbitel High Speed Internet service includes up to 5 email accounts for free. Q. Can I have more than one computer connected to my Orbitel High Speed Internet Servcie?

A. Yes. Currently, Orbitel does not provide technical support for home PC networks. We also, at this time, do not install home PC networks. If you have a home router or home wireless network, you will be able to connect that router or wireless device to our cable modem and internet service. You can then configure all of your home computer devices to access the internet. We hope, in the future, to offer wireless cable modems and more home networking equipment. At this time, Orbitel will set up and support the first computer in your home. If you need additional support with your home network or are having technical difficulties not related to the Orbitel High Speed Internet Service, you will need to contact a computer support company. Q. What kind of computer do I need to have?

A. As of September 1, 2002, the Orbitel Communications minimum computer requirements are as follows: Windows 95 or better. 166MHz Pentium Processor or better with 64MB of RAM; or Apple Macintosh with OS 9 or better and 32MB of RAM. Network Interface Card (Ethernet card) or USB Port.

Q. Can I use any Internet Browser Software?

A. Yes. Orbitel High Speed Internet will allow you to connect with any commercially available browser software.
