At 6:45pm on Wednesday March 4, KNXV (ABC-15) lost its broadcast transmitter.  The broadcast channel went immediately off the air throughout its entire coverage area.  Customers in every cable system as well as satellite customers went without programming on this channel.  Locally, Orbitel customers were unable to see channel 15 and 915 on the cable system.  The transmitter was restored at 8:22pm and service throughout the coverage area, including on Orbitel, immediately returned.  Orbitel personnel have been in contact with KNXV executives this morning on the outage.  No information is available at this time as to whether the programming missed will be replayed.  Customers should monitor Orbitelcom.com or ABC15.com for more information.
