Your Orbitel Digital Phone Service includes voicemail services at no
additional cost. We offer some great voicemail features as part of
the service:
- No Voicemail – If you do not wish to have voicemail services
provided by Orbitel through your Digital phone service you may
elect to not use the service. Remember the service is included
at no additional charge. If you prefer you may connect a
standard telephone answering machine and record messages left by
callers.
- Voicemail Box accessed using any touchtone phone – Whether
you are at home or away from home, you will be able to retrieve
your messages left on the Orbitel Digital Phone Voicemail system
from any touchtone phone. The instructions for this are noted
below. These instructions are also in both the Orbitel Digital
Phone Getting Started Guide and the Orbitel Digital Phone User’s
Guide. These manuals were provided at the time of installation
but are also available on line from this site.
- Voicemail messages delivered by email – You can arrange for
a notification to be sent to any email address when a message
has been left in your Orbitel Digital Phone Voicemail box. This
feature can be setup by you at our On-Line Account Center Web
Site. You can also change the email notification settings
anytime you choose at that site as well.
- Voicemail messaged delivered by email with an attached .wav
file – If you would like to also listen to your messages when
the email notification is sent you may select this feature and
have a digital recording of the message delivered as an
attachment to your email notification. This feature can also be
managed by you through the On-Line Account Center Web Site.
- Internet Access – Through the On-Line Account Center Web
Site you can also listen to any new or saved voicemail messages.
Simply log on to the Orbitel Digital Phone Account Center Web
Site and go to your voicemail box and see a list of the messages
you have saved in your box. Click on the message and select PLAY
to listen to the message.

manage your services the way that works best for you and your

Instructions for Using Orbitel Voicemail
Services
Recording a Personal Greeting

Pick up your Orbitel Digital Phone connected
telephone and press 123# on the telephone keypad.
You will be connected to the VoiceMail system.

Press 2 to administer your mailbox.
-
Press 1 to administer your personal
greeting.
-
Press 2 to change your greeting.
You will be prompted to record your greeting.

Press 1 to listen to your personal
greeting.
-
When you are satisfied with your greeting, press
3 to accept and activate your greeting.
You will hear the message, “Your personal greeting has been
activated.”
IMPORTANT: You must accept and
activate your personal greeting in order for it to be saved. If you
record a greeting and hang up before accepting and activating it, it
will not be saved, and the previous greeting will be used.
Listening to VoiceMail Messages
From Your Orbitel Digital
Phone-Connected Telephone

Pick up the handset of the telephone connected
to your telephone adapter, and press 123# on the telephone
keypad.
You will be connected to the VoiceMail system.

Press 1 to hear your messages.
The system will announce how many new and saved messages you
have in your mailbox. If you have messages, you will hear the
date and time each message was left.

Follow the prompts to listen to, save, and/or
delete your messages.
From the Web

Login to the Orbitel Account Center Web Site

Click the VoiceMail button.
The VoiceMail page displays.

Click the Play link to hear the desired
message.
Remotely From any Touch-Tone Phone
-
Using any regular touch-tone telephone, pick up
the telephone handset and dial your Orbitel Digital Phone
number. Press star (*) during your outgoing message.

Enter your PIN number when prompted. Your PIN
number was provided at the time of installation. You can also
get your PIN number contacting an Orbitel Customer Service.

Press 1 on the telephone keypad to hear
your messages.
The system will announce how many new and saved messages you
have in your mailbox. If you have messages, you will hear the
date and time each message was left.

Press 1 to listen to the message.

Press 2 to save the message or press 3
to delete the message.
The system announces the date and time of any other new or
saved messages.

Follow the voice prompts to continue listening
to, saving, and/or deleting your messages.

When you are done listening to your messages,
hang up the telephone.
